The second edition of the ELECTROSIMET CUP 2026 has come to an end!

April 17, 2026, was – literally – truly electrifying. The 2nd Secondary School and Vocational School Championships of Electricians attracted as many as 57 schools, 52 of which ultimately took part in the event. Participants came from all over Poland, with some of them arriving straight from an all-night train journey, however, despite their fatigue, they had to hit the ground running from the very first moment, because on-site, what counted most was knowledge, precision, and time.

It was clear from the very start: the level of competition was high, and the pace was relentless. The rivalry turned out to be extremely close, with advancement often decided by mere seconds. This year’s championships were divided into three stages, which step-by-step revealed the best teams.

RESULTS

STAGE 1 – Test of theoretical knowledge

The competition began with a 40-question test. The results of this challenge determined who would advance to the semifinals, and in the event of a tie, the time taken to complete the test was the deciding factor.

The full results of the qualifying test are available to download  HERE,

The written test narrowed the competitors down to the top 10 teams. It was a nail-biter – the school from Radomsko was just 1 minute and 18 seconds away from advancing.

The following teams qualified for the semifinals:

  1. 1. MECHANIK Technical Secondary School Complex – Jelenia Góra (38 points | 8:53)
  2. 2. Secondary School Complex No. 1 – Tomaszów Mazowiecki (36 points | 23:34)
  3. 3. Electrical School Complex No. 1 – Kraków (35 points | 3:37)
  4. 4. School Complex memorial of United Nations – Polkowice (35 points | 20:14)
  5. 5. Technical Secondary School Complex – Głogów (34 points | 12:15)
  6. 6. School Complex of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering – Nowy Sącz (34 points | 24:04)
  7. 7. Vocational and Lifelong Learning Center – Zbąszynek (33 points | 13:46)
  8. 8. Vocational and Lifelong Learning Center – Ostrów Wielkopolski (33 points | 15:37)
  9. 9. School Complex of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering – Legnica (33 points | 20:12)
  10. 10. ENERGETYK Technical Secondary School Complex – Wałbrzych (33 points | 22:13)

The teams which made it to last year’s final once again proved their excellent skills. The semifinalists included teams from Polkowice, Głogów, and Wałbrzych. Consistency and maintaining top performance are definitely their hallmarks.

STAGE II (SEMIFINAL) – Practical part

The semifinals were a true test of practical skills. Each of the 10 teams faced three tasks, with 15 minutes allotted for each. It was not just about completing the tasks correctly, but also about the pace of work – points were allocated to the teams which completed the tasks the fastest and free from errors. Failing to complete a task meant no points. There was no room for hesitation here – what mattered was a cool head, composure, and the ability to perform effectively under time pressure. It was this stage that determined the top contenders in the competition.

Five teams advanced to the final:

1. Technical Secondary School Complex – Głogów – 29 points
(team members: Oskar Kowal, Jakub Wspaniały, Mikołaj Młynarczyk)

2. MECHANIK Technical Secondary School Complex Jelenia Góra – 18 points
(team members: Maciej Rutkowski, Jakub Ogryzek, Maciej Ulikowski)

3. School Complex memorial of United Nations Polkowice – 16 points
(team members: Rafał Nagrodzki, Tomasz Szumski, Michał Kuziemka)

5. School Complex of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Nowy Sącz – 8 points
(team members: Piotr Katra, Konrad Ciołkiewicz, Mateusz Obrzut)

STAGE 3 (FINAL) – Practical part

The Final – every detail matters

In the grand finale, the teams faced a single, complex practical task, to complete which they had 60 minutes. This stage required not only knowledge, but also composure, teamwork, and flawless organization under time pressure.

Unbeatable – Głogów back on top

Just like last year, the victory went to the Technical Secondary School Complex in Głogów. The team completed the task in impressive 43 minutes. It was not just a win – it was a display of absolute dominance.

ACTIVITY ZONE

The ELECTROSIMET-CUP Championships are not just about rivalry at the competition stations, they are also full of excitement off the main competitive track. During the semifinals and finals, the participants enjoyed an extended functional zone that was bustling with activity throughout the entire event.

The Championships were visited by Kamil Hykalik – the internet personality known as Wall Done, whose channel has nearly 270,000 subscribers. His visit was a surprise arranged by the organizers. Participants had the opportunity to meet the YouTuber, chat with him, and take souvenir photos.

The event was also graced by Kaczorex, i.e. Michał Kaczorowski – a renowned Polish dancer, performer, and instructor specializing in popping and electric boogie. On stage, he presented two spectacular dance routines, including the performance which earned him a platinum button on the show entitled “Mam Talent!” (“I’ve Got Talent”).

There was also a lot of fun in the Social Media zone – all you had to do was follow SIMET’s or its partners’ profiles to spin the wheel of fortune and win prizes. There was no shortage of participants!

The competition challenges also provided plenty of excitement. Participants tried to guess the number of wire connectors hidden inside a glass ball, whereas in the timed competition, precision and fast reaction were the key – the task was to correctly connect numbered wires using IDEALNA SZYBKOŁĄCZKA wire connectors.

One of the highlights of the event was the brand zone, where SIMET, TIM, and Milwaukee companies had their stands.

In the SIMET zone, participants had the opportunity to take a close look at electrical junction boxes (of which SIMET is the leading manufacturer in Poland), meet with company representatives, ask questions, as well as pick up product catalogs and brochures.

There was also a TIM company stand at the event, where they promoted the “Łączy nas napięcie” (“Electricity connects us”) portal – a platform that brings together the electrical industry, expertise, and people.

Milwaukee also showcased its products, arriving in a specially designed demonstration vehicle –the mobile exhibition area attracted a crowd and offered the chance to get an up-close look at the professional equipment.

There was no shortage of modern technology either – a VR zone featuring the Electrician Simulator game allowed participants to step into the shoes of an electrician and test their skills in a virtual world of electrical installations.

The organizer made sure not only to keep the excitement high but also to keep the participants energized. A foodtruck was available on site for all competitors and team coaches.

During the Championships, the results of the social media competition were also announced; participants had been able to enter the contest prior to the event, and the creators of the three best entries received awards.
🥇 1st place and presentation of the project on the big screen: Noworudzka Technical School in Nowa Ruda
🥈 2nd place: Vocational School No. 3 in Krotoszyn
🥉 Joint 3rd place: Technical Secondary School Complex in Głogów and MECHANIK Technical Secondary School in Jelenia Góra.

The activity zone was a place where competition was accompanied by fun, technology, and socializing – and it was hard to walk past it without enjoying the moment.
